      Overview

      The Morisky Medication Adherence Scales (MMAS) are a pair of clinically-validated questionnaires that assess patient adherence. They provide insights that can drive tailored interventions and lead to improved health outcomes.

      The CertiScan® Adherence Platform is now the exclusive digital delivery service for the 4-item (MMAS-4) and 8-item (MMAS-8) Morisky scales. Thanks to CertiScan®’s powerful industry-leading capabilities, the MMAS can be filled out, analyzed, and actioned in ways that were previously impossible.

      CertiScan® delivers the MMAS to patients as a modern, mobile-first web survey. Paper records and transcription are eliminated. Responses are stored and analyzed automatically and in real-time. Site staff gain powerful visualizations and insights on CertiScan® dashboards.

      Integrations and Interoperability

      The digital MMAS is flexible by design to support your use cases. The survey itself can be embedded in either a CertiScan® webpage or one of your web pages. The visualizations on the CertiScan® dashboards are likewise embeddable, and you can retrieve raw response data from CertiScan® using an API.

      Automations and Smart Actions

      Digital MMAS deliveries can be scheduled in order to measure progress over time. Response patterns can trigger smart actions, like sending a follow-up message, escalating from MMAS-4 to MMAS-8, or recommending the use of a smart package like Med-ic® or eCap™.

      Effortless Customization

      Brand assets (logos and imagery) and clinical information (medication and disease names) can be customized per project. CertiScan® ensures that customizations are in line with previous validated uses of the MMAS in order to safeguard the survey’s effectiveness.

      Smart packaging is the ideal data source: it is accurate, automatic, and passive. There is no extra effort on the participant’s part since they were going to take a dose anyways (or not - which smart packaging can also detect!)
      This data feeds into the CertiScan® Adherence Platform and other software systems to power numerous solutions.
